September 6th .....
The Owens family left Vancouver airport to embark on a long journey via family and friends on their way to Arusha Tanzania where they will serve with the Joshua Foundation.
There were lots of different emotions especially excitement for the future and loss and sadness at who we have left behind....
Justine was especially sad and Zachary saw her pain and resonded with loads of compassion...
Judi felt incredibly focussed about getting all the suitcases and bibs and bobs on the plane..... so many things to remember and take to africa.
David was overwhelmed with the significance of the event wanting to enjoy the last of every Canadian experience and took lots of photos.
We got on the plane exhausted and ready to put our chairs back and sip some wine.... well, not the kids...
