Christmas and New Year's pain… (by David)

We've been largely cut off from all communication due to the server on campus being down for the last week or so. Sorry to all of you who have tried to contact us through Skype and email.
The sister-in-law of one of our workers was returning from church a few days ago and had to cross a stream swollen by our recent rains. No one is certain as to what exactly happened but she, her baby and young daughter we’re swept away; their bodies only being discovered a couple of days later.
Please pray for her husband and two other young boys as they have to deal with this terrible tragedy.
Also, we've just received news of a church being torched today killing 50 people (including a number of children) who were fleeing the election violence in Kenya. It was an AOG church in the town of Eldoret, a lovely place on the Western side of the Rift Valley where Justine and I stopped off as we travelled through in March. Corruption continues to cost many lives on this beautiful continent.
