Pilipili Hoho by Judi

Welcome to the wonderful world of Swahili words....
A few for your consideration:

Pilipili hoho is capsicum or sweet pepper. I throw this into conversations wherever possible because it rolls off the tongue nicely...
Upungufu is shortage (sounds like oo-poon-goo-foo)- there is a lot of this in Africa.
Kiplefti is roundabout (sounds like keep lefti)
dawa la kukinga jua is sunblock (not used by Africans much)
diodorani is deodorant (also not used by Africans very much...esp. Nairobi airport)

Mungu Akubariki! (God bless you!)
