Stendina - A Success Story!!

Pastor Stendina Muyinga was raised in a Muslim family in Tanzania. She is the youngest child of the second wife. After her father left the house each day she would run to school to join her brothers which displeased her father immensely. She was taken from school, beaten and put to work doing “girls’ things”. Like many African women, “education was not for girls!”

Once her older sister married, she moved to live with her and was allowed to go to school, however she needed to raise the money herself for her fees and supplies. She had a little after-school job which earned her enough money to buy a pencil and a piece of paper each week.

Pastor Stendina has “put herself” through her entire education and graduated with a Batchelor of Theology in November, here at Joshua.

She is the first woman in her denomination to be ordained and leads a monthly town wide prayer gathering, including 24hour prayer. Just prior to Christmas she led a March for Jesus in the town, which incorporated most of the denominations.
She has a wonderful ministry leading Praise and Worship as well as conducting seminars.

Pastors come to seek her advice especially regarding prayer and the sustaining of prayer gatherings.

She knows the truth of her faith and its power to bring freedom to individuals and families. Her influence is growing as she humbly follows the Holy Spirit’s leading. Please pray for her.
