David excitedly teaching!
Last week David was teaching a class of 33 pastors and leaders all week on the heart issues of self discipleship and discipling your family and then your church.
I poked my head in the lecture room to deliver some notes to see an animated David Owens sharing his heart and a room full of pastors riveted. Their intense eyes, feverished writing, many questions and excited interaction was contagious. What a sight!
At first I thought "Wow, he really misses preaching!" but then I quickly realized that his heart to equip others and his burning passion to impart intimacy with Jesus was being realized. The room was electric with questions and revelation and application. This was what David was made for... and he could only fully appreciate this season after all the others God has taken him thru. Not only that, but each of those other seasons made him who he is today and enabled him to impart the fullness of the inheritance he is giving away.
Pray for these pastors, their families and their churches. Each of them has a unique story of pain, struggle and victory.
Hopefully, we can introduce some of them to you....
