Thanks for your generosity!

Hi all,
Today our family had the privilege of helping Elisante and Pastor Noah distribute grain.

We witnessed a very orderly handout and were able to see 87 families blessed with grain today - there were 18 bags of maize. Unfortunately, 23 women left without food.

Please enjoy some of the pics that we took today. Thanks to Celeste the photographer.
1. Babu sharing with a Bibi. This old man gave away some of his grain to the old woman sitting next to him
2. A young boy watched longingly as the grain was distributed in the church. Women were called by name to come and receive their portion.
3. Women waiting patiently for grain.

Your generosity has made this possible.

thanks!

Is there money being processed for grain for those women who waited and left with nothing?
Please let us know if that's all there is.

nsHi Suse,
We were able to go again to distribute grain this saturday and those that missed out are the first to receive grain.... however, this week more people were there due to the word getting out and it seemed that over 300 people showed up and still there were some who didnt receive this week. It was very hard when many came up and gestured how hungry they were and showed us their empty bags.... we scrounged around and emptied out wallets and we were able to come up with more money on the spot that would buy 4 or 5 more bags of grain... Each of those women were told to come back tomorrow to receive grain... however, we needed to give a "lifti" to 2 old ladies who could hardly walk and they would need to return the next morning to collect the grain they missed out on. We wept after we dropped them off at their extreme poverty....
We did see some lovely sights of others giving their grain away to older more fragile folks even though this meant the younger woman would go without food.
It is a tough thing all round. We do have more money coming in though. Praise God!
love
