Update on the Famine Relief

Yesterday we handed over another amount of money to Elisante and he
showed us the families that have been helped so far..... 68 in all.
Each family is recorded and the maize is deliberately given to the
mamas who are guaranteed to take it straight home. All monies are
receipted and accounted for.

There is more money to hand over, we are just waiting for it to clear
from our account. Thanks to all our supporters who have
responded generously.

Elisante said that the hardest thing is when he is giving out the
maize and they come to the end of the supply but the line of people
waiting are still standing there hoping for something more to
appear... He asked us to pray for some of the older people whose
families moved to town in the hope of coming back for their elders
once established, only to hit hard times and therefore are unable to
return at this point. So these elderly folk are left without family
support. There are a couple of folk in their 80's - 90's whose houses
have slid over and who have no food and who are very weak.
