Today we had the unenviable task of burying Naroc- our little black dog that we were minding for our friends while they are on furlough...
You may remember that Zac blogged recently about how happy he was to have a dog at last. She was 14 yrs old and just over one week after her owners left, she died of heart failure. On Saturday we took her to the vet after she seemed to be struggling and we imagined that she was just missing her owner... there was a little more going on.
Today after a day and night of watching her struggling to breathe and get comfortable we took her to the vet. She had been crying in pain all morning and we made the decision to give her relief so with her owners blessing to have her put down. It was a difficult thing to witness and after we buried her under the avocado tree next door, Zac painted a small head stone for her.
You can imagine how heavy hearted we are.
Pray for Zac as he processes the complexities of life and death and how and why God answers prayer! and for our friends, her owners as they say goodbye to their dear old friend from afar and return in 2 months to their empty home to face reminders of her.
thanks
Judi
