Visiting Pastor Noah and Juliet’s church is a truly moving and different church service. There is lots of color, dancing, drumming, singing and loud preaching…
The children’s Sunday school is filled with little children who sing and drum and dance. At the end of their lesson they take up a collection where one and all give small red onions as their gift to the Lord.
The adult service is equally rhythmic and colorful and the choir often perform choreographed dances to drums while singing. The church is adorned with colored beach balls advertising fanta and the like while plastic flowers rest on the "pulpit" table.
The sermon is often directed at the wiles of the Enemy or the dangers of sin but God’s love is also mentioned. The pastor and his wife love God and the many people in their congregation. Most of the congregation are Masai who have become Christians. Pastor Noah was also Masai and is therefore equipped to deal with the complicated issues of multiple wives etc. that arise when Masai decide to convert.
