My previous blog re our Kenyan friend's work on Rhino Charge vehicle No.38, saw it in its most stripped down form. Now, a few weeks later, things are coming together, with the new extended chassis fitted. You will notice where the body was cut and a steel plate fitted to join the two halves.
The Rhino Charge is an environmental fund-raiser, arguably the world's most challenging one-day event in the world, where vehicles are given 10 hours to go from A to B, the winner being the one with least mileage. The course is different every year, always in the most rugged areas of the Kenyan "bush".
This sees cars attempting the apparent impossible like being winched down ravines etc... instead of taking less direct routes.
Will this be No.38's year? We'll keep you posted.
