Why these are just some of the things folk carry on their heads here in Tanzania.
Mostly, we see women with large buckets of water, bundles of sticks for firewood, large bundles of grass to feed their cows, fruit and vegetables, large bunches of bananas. Occasionally, we see some different things like an axe, scythe, bricks as well as anything they are selling like socks, bras, t-shirts
Today, we saw a whole worship band walking home from church with their keyboard, voltage regulator and stand for their keyboard on their heads. All dressed up in their Sunday best. Shiny business shoes and suits for men. Flimsy sandals and colourful dresses and head dresses for the women.
