moving house and ministry all at once....

On Friday we moved more of our things from our house on the other side of Arusha in a "suburb" called Arusha. Just before we did this we were privileged to be part of the graduation ceremony for the church planters at the CMF base where we have been house sitting for the last month or so. The celebration was very moving as we washed the feet of the students that are now being sent out to church plant and they received their certificates. One of the older women found it difficult to receive hers due to the tears of gratitude she shed. For many of these people, this is the first acknowledgement they have received and especially for women it is a very rare thing.

After this event, we travelled to Njiro which is about a 45min to 1 hour drive across town to pack up more of our things in preparation for the big move on Saturday.

Below are pics of our moving day experience. We were thankful for many of our African friends who helped us on the day. Their strength and stamina are remarkable and helped make quick work of the move. Our friends, Paul and Sally Carstensen, were responsible for helping us keep our sanity throughout the grueling week of moving and provided meals, fun plus help on the evening before the move to ensure our mental health.

Thanks to Serena and her family who made us a delicious meal to have in our new home on the evening of the move.....

Thanks to God for good friends who provide in a time of need!
