Looking for church properties....

So today, after church, we had a picnic at a possible future venue for our church.
It is a little surprising in that we originally were looking for something within the centre of town where we might meet and this place is not in the middle of town. In fact it is about 6.7kms out of town. About the same amount of minutes away from our previous venue.

We are currently meeting in a restaurant called Pepe's. However, we are rapidly running out of space even tho we have hired 2 tents to extend the space.

We have looked at around 15 different properties in town over the last month. An exhausting exercise to say the least. Finding space in the centre of a city is hard. Although we did find a remarkable property that required lots of work but would meet our needs who was willing to offer a 10 yr lease only to find that the owner called his father who was Muslim and the deal was off. You can't blame him really.

Parking for 50 cars with a view to increase plus enough room to expand is something we are looking for.

The property we looked at today is on 6.5 acres and has such a peaceful and serene feeling. Around 80 folk from church came for the picnic after church and ate their lunches under the shade of the large trees. Later we broke into smaller groups and prayed asked God for wisdom and words and collected the thoughts from the group: positive feedback, challenges we would face and what God is saying.

Pray as we make this important decision...

A new home for Arusha Vineyard is something we long for.
