Blink, and you would have missed it!!
Midterm break for RVA’ers who live in Arusha is only a weekend…..
Friday is spent on the shuttle bus from Nairobi to Arusha and arrival is around 2:30pm Friday afternoon.
Return is Monday morning on the 8am shuttle.
Not much time for us to love on our boy.
However, we did manage to catch a movie, catch up with friends, eat at his favourite restaurant and play board games and play guitar together (well, David and Zac did)
Zac has really improved in his guitar skills. His strumming and picking are getting really good.
I cooked his favourite food and bought his favourite sodas and he ate lots.
On top of this we had an awesome prayer time together asking God to give us pictures of the next season we would be walking into. God really encouraged Zac with this.
We miss Zac lots but know that the school he is going to is giving him a great education, great friendships and good social skills. He is growing as a Christian and His love for God. He is gaining insights and disciplines from a more evangelical perspective that he wouldn’t necessarily get at home but that never hurt anyone and will be helpful for structure in his Christian walk.
Next visit? 6 weeks time….. For one month at Easter break. Can’t wait.
