Last Sunday we were in the presence of an incredible miracle!
In the town of Karatu, about two hours from Arusha, an elderly man was walking through the local cemetery Wednesday week and heard crying. He couldn't see anything so looked around only to find the crying was coming from a grave. He called over a young woman to help him and they dug up a newborn, still in the liquids of birth, the umbilical cord still attached.
He had been put in a plastic bag and covered with sand. Doctors estimated he had survived 12 hours.
The baby was brought to Jerry and Tammy, a couple from our church who are opening a baby home in the town. They quickly took him to the hospital where he was cleaned up and cared for.
Jerry took the wise precaution of getting one of his workers to stay there with the baby just in case there were any problems.
Sure enough, later that night, a group arrived led by the woman who had helped the old man, and asked for the bay to be returned to them. The worker said that that was not possible as it was now in the care of Family Services, but they ignored her, trying to take the baby by force and kill it.
She yelled for help and the staff came to her and the baby's rescue.
So this Sunday morning, Jerry and Tammy brought little Moses to the Vineyard, by then a four-day-old boy who had already had his life threatened twice and miraculously saved on both counts.
Clearly this was connected to witchcraft, so he who had initially been dedicated to Satan has been snatched from that fate to live a dedicated life to his loving Maker.
Please pray for Moses ... there's a great call on his life!
The marks on his face are from the plastic bag sticking and dried blood.
